Nidhi, a young mother in a Tier 2 city in India, faced a heartbreaking reality — her 2-year-old daughter had been diagnosed with SOTOS syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that causes developmental delays and features of autism. She felt completely alone, having never met another family with the same diagnosis.

Through HopeString’s AI-based matching, Nidhi was paired with Supriya, a mother in the US whose 11-year-old son also has SOTOS syndrome. Supriya’s journey mirrored many of the struggles Nidhi was beginning to face.

Supriya began sharing everything she’d learned over the years — therapies, behavioral tools, educational resources, and even the emotional highs and lows. For the first time, Nidhi could see a possible path ahead — filled with understanding, practical wisdom, and renewed confidence.

Now, Nidhi feels hopeful and empowered. With someone who truly “gets it” by her side, she’s no longer navigating this journey in the dark.

When Aanya’s 3-year-old son Vihaan was diagnosed with speech delay and sensory processing issues, she was flooded with options — speech therapy, occupational therapy, play therapy, ABA, and more.

That’s when Aanya joined HopeString.
